Hello Highland Elementary Staff and Families,

 

I hope you’ve all enjoyed a fantastic summer filled with relaxation and fun! My name is Nick Kish, and I’m thrilled to be joining the Highland Elementary Family this 2025-26 school year as the interim Principal while the wonderful Mrs. Graziano takes a temporary leave of absence. While this transition brings some changes within our excellent school district, it also opens the door for new excitement and opportunities!

 

I come to you from Kimpton Middle School, where I’ve had the privilege of serving as Assistant Principal, working alongside the dynamic Principal Deitrick and his incredible staff. During my time there, the positive climate, culture, and collaborative learning community constantly inspired me. Before my time at Kimpton, I served as an elementary principal, a high school assistant principal, and a long-time special education teacher.

 

Although my move to Highland Elementary has been a surprise, I’ve heard nothing but great things about the staff, students, and families here. I’m excited to collaborate with all of you to support our fantastic kindergarten through fourth-grade students! I’m excited to meet each of you and want you to know that I’m here to support you in any way possible. 

We are going to have an AMAZING year together!
